Flue pipe for Brivis MPS HE20i - 2008/05/23 00:25 Well, I found out about your service a bit too late and had a local installer put in a Brivis HE20i under our floor space, but am unhappy with the location of the 50mm PVC flue pipe vent - it shoots the exhaust out just under my BBQ deck, and seeing/smelling the exhaust is not cool, much less the heat/moisture effect it may have on the wood deck over time.

Thinking outside the square, we do have the old 200mm (8") flue pipe venting out through the roof from the previous Lennox furnace - I assume it is a double-walled metal section. Could the PVC vent not be rerouted up centred through this existing vertical metal pipe?

This would be a 1.5m horizontal run plus 7.5 vertical - total of 9m with 2 90 degree elbows. I understand this may require a 65mm PVC pipe due to the length, according to the standards. Do I need to go back into installer land to get this done, or could it be it a straight-forward DIY job?

Thanks,
Stefan
