Insulation bats - 2007/01/23 18:09 Hi all,

Ok im considering DIY air con system the roof pitch is very flat that is fine giving me enough room to do the install at one end. First things first, being a tin colour bond roof they have installed glass wool insulation faced with aluminum foil between the roof and the battens. The roof space gets very narrow at one end. The volume of air space/ air circulation is limited, do you think ill need to add more insulation bats on the Gyprock ceiling.

Cheers.

Re:Insulation bats - 2007/01/23 23:40 Hi Billey,

I would suggest talking to your local insulation company as I personally am unsure of the insulation ratings / quality of your insulation... I think that having insulation on top of the plaster is more effective and probably necessary.

Here is a good place to start
