I'm eagerly awaiting the DIY ducted aircon info - do you have any updates on it's likely timeframe??

Just bought a new house with no aircon installed - 2 stories so I figureded I'd duct into the bedrooms and put a split system downstairs.

is still being formulated - there are so many variables with ducted air conditioning - its hard to have just one formula. Regarding the house you have just bought - that sounds like the right idea! Ducted upstairs and then a split down stairs... thats what i'd do for my place (unless i was building from scratch)

I guess that the most expensive part of the system is the actual ducted aircon unit - I'm going to duct into 4 bedrooms, 3 of which are 3m x 3m, the other is 4m x 4m - the total upstairs area is around 90 sqm.

I understand that any guess will be very rough, but would you care to take a stab at the likely costs for the ducted aircon part of the system only??
